Oak Wall Cupboard Antique Style
Chalvington Range
Oak wall cupboard in antique style. Otherwise known as a livery cupboard, there are a few original examples surviving from the 17th century, although their use, typically for the storage of food, drink and candles, pre-dates this. Also referred to as dole cupboards, they were wall hung so as to deter access by vermin. The simple reproduction example, shown here, was specially commissioned by our client for their timber framed kitchen and has been designed using elements from the Jacobean period. Finished in our 'Warm Chestnut' colour and medium aged. Part of our Chalvington bespoke oak furniture range, so we can make this to other sizes and designs. Can also be made in fruitwood.
