Early Oak Reproductions, About Us

Early Oak Reproductions offers high quality, Bespoke Reproduction Oak Furniture - Handmade in England, Original Fine Art from British artists and Traditional Home Accessories by local craftsmen and craftswomen (many of these accessories are not available on the high street anywhere).

Our enviable reputation speaks for itself. It is built on our success in making and sourcing the highest quality items, matched with best practices for managing production and logistics. The cost benefits we make, as a result of efficiently run operations, are passed directly on to you, our customer, in terms of exceptional value for money.

If you're overriding consideration is cheapest, or even cheap, we don't think you'll be interested in us. However, if you want unsurpassed quality and authenticity, combined with superb service, at a realistic price (we recognise that there are a few others out there with similar quality products, but at much higher prices), then there's simply none better. We are the UK's most recommended company in this field and the envy of many in our industry.

Peter, one of our clients from Monaco, sums us up perfectly: "Your products are not the cheapest - but when you want the best..."

17th century style oak glass case, designed and made by Nicholas BerryEarly Oak Reproductions is a family owned and managed business. Managing Director, Nicholas Berry (more usually know as Nick) has been a life-long early oak enthusiast (from primary school days!!) and specialist joiner for over twenty five years. Over this time he has firmly established himself as one of the leading designers, makers and finishers of authentic handmade oak furniture and architectural woodwork, working for the country's most discerning clients, including the National Trust. An example of his work, a 17th century style hand carved oak glass case, with parquetry inlay, designed and made over 15 years ago, can be seen here here and at our Sussex showroom (sorry, it's not for sale, it's now a family heirloom and there to demonstrate that he learnt the trade with his hands!). This unique combination of experience in all three disciplines (design, making and finishing), has produced the essential skills to hand pick a team of the country's most talented craftsmen and women, producing the worlds most beautiful pieces, for discerning clients throughout the UK and Europe. This combined wealth of knowledge, experience and skills, means you, our client, benefits.

...and when we talk about 'discerning', we regularly have visitors to our showroom who are avid collectors of original and very expensive early oak pieces and it makes us justifiably proud that they are impressed enough by our furniture to commission new pieces from us. Additionally, local to us is a highly regarded antique dealer and interior designer, who normally steers clear of reproduction furniture, but has sufficient confidence to bring her own clients in to order bespoke pieces from us.

With over 400 individual furniture designs, in oak and fruitwoods, together with the option to custom specify, you certainly have no shortage of choice...and think of every handmade piece we make, quite correctly, as an 'original'.

We welcome enquiries from private clients, architects, interior designers and specifiers. Whether it's one special piece or to furnish a number of rooms, you can be assured of the same level of product quality, professional advice and customer care.

Contact us now to discuss your requirements.
