The Waterworths, on the Isle of Islay, did an excellent job of restoration, I believe even your craftsmen would be hard pressed to identify the original damage sites. "We approached Nick at Early Oak Reproductions in December 2011 to help with the sourcing of a Glazed Oak Display Cabinet as we could not find exactly what we were looking for in the normal furniture shops. With Nick's assistance and expertise we created a new 'bespoke' design based on two of his existing stock pieces with one or two extra twiddles. The price which he achieved for a bespoke piece (including VAT and delivery) was highly competitive and a lot less than any comparative piece in the specialist High Street shops. Manufacture was quoted as 8-12 weeks but in the event turned out to be 16 weeks, but in mitigation this was for a one-off design which was in it self somewhat complex. The wait was frustrating but was totally worth it when we first saw the Cabinet, we may be biased, but we think that it is beautiful! We would unreservedly recommend Early Oak Reproductions to anyone who wants high quality oak furniture at a good price, especially if you cannot find what you want 'off the shelf', (but don't be surprised if your 'bespoke' furniture cannot quite make the 12 week window, it will be well worth the wait)."
