Carved footpost detail, from our Chalvington range bespoke oak 4-poster bed. Here, you will see the square section post change to octagonal section, by the effective use of a 16th century  'dart stop' chamfer. A simple Medieval style moulding then provides the transition to a round section, hand carved slow spiral twist. This bed was finished in our 'Warm Chestnut ' colour, with medium ageing option.
