Large oval oak table with square cut baluster pedestal supports. The hand-cut supports are in a 'classic baluster' style and stand on tri-form shaped legs, joined by a single stretcher. The two inch thick spokeshaved oval top, will comfortably seat ten people at 244cm length and twelve people at 274.5cm length.

Balusters that are cut, rather than turned, became fashionable during the late 16th century. As well as square, they could also be cut into an octagonal shape. Either way, the profile would commonly follow a similar shape as that employed by the wood turner.

Our client chose a bespoke colour that was actually midway between our 'Aged Sienna' and 'Warm Chestnut'. The table is finished in our 'Medium Aged' option. As a custom built piece, you can have it made in a different size, to suit a) your room dimensions and b) your seating preferences.
