Hand carved Elizabethan strapwork style oak TV stand

Chalvington Oak Range

Oak stand for flat screen or plasma TV, with Elizabethan style strapwork hand carved panels to the front and sides and deeply moulded plinth and top edging. The front panel, which hinges down to gain access to a DVD player etc. has the carving pierced right through, so any devices inside can be operated with a remote control, even with the flap closed. 

The piece featured here was finished for our client, in our Chalvington bespoke range 'Aged Sienna' colour and 'Medium Aged'.

The photo above shows the pierced front panel, which allows the remote control signal to pass through.

The pierced front panel simply hinges down to gain access to the units inside. Note the deep cut-out in the rear of the floor. It is there to route all the power and aerial cables down from the TV and associated units where they, along with the multi-plug extension leads, can be neatly tucked away out of site in the open backed plinth area.

Close up view of the oak TV stand ends. Note the punched decoration in the 'ground' of the strapwork carved panel. Typically Elizabethan. The fish scale carved side posts were inspired by similar carving, on a fireplace at Baddersley Clinton, a beautiful National Trust house in Warwickshire.

Remember, as with all our Chalvington and Wilmington range oak furniture products, this piece will be bespoke made for you, so there's the opportunity to fine tune dimensions to suit both the location and TV size. The price stated is a guide based on the size given. Minor size changes won't make any difference to the cost, particularly if the overall design remains the same.
