Hand cut period dovetails on oak folding table

Close up of the hand cut period style dovetails on the drawer of our oak folding 'Hunt' table. In this case, a small version used by our clients to occasionally extend their dining table, but which mainly doubles as a useful side/serving table. The bespoke nature of this piece, allows us to make it for you in any appropriate size that's workable. Back to the dovetails, these are called 'blind dovetails', in that they stop short of going right though to the front of the drawer. The nod to period, is the fact that the 'tails' are large and there are less of them, when compared to contemporary dovetail joints. The small loper, with the ring handle, extends to support the leaves when folded out.
