Pedestal carving detail on C16th style oak console table

Carving detail on the cup-and-cover pedestal support of our 16th century Elizabethan style carved oak console table. The 'cup' part consists of boldly executed gadrooning, with a stylized leaf pattern on the 'cover' section. Note also the 'egg and dart' carved capitals and typically Elizabethan period decoration to the end rail, with turned pendants under.
