An Elizabethan style carved oak console table, based on our 16th century Elizabethan style carved oak refectory table, utilizing the same 'gadroon' carved rails and bulbous cup-and-cover carved legs with 'egg-and-dart' capitals, the latter re-positioned as two pedestal supports, rather than four legs, due to the narrow width dimensions of the table. Additional period features are the turned pendants under each corner of the top and the carved 'toes' at each end of the shaped transverse bases. All the carving was carried out by hand, by some of the worlds most skilled wood carvers, based here in the UK.
