Oak glass-top coffee table + attractive crinoline stretcher

An oak glass top coffee table. Although coffee tables, as such, didn't exist until recently, they are now an established part of our furniture essentials. This piece borrows period detail from the late 17th and 18th century, such as the crinoline stretcher and 'inverted-cup baluster' leg turnings. Other detailing includes shaped brackets at the rail ends and bun feet. The toughened glass top can be removed for cleaning and also enables the attractive shaped and moulded stretchers, with its central finial, to be viewed from above.
